Let me start out by saying that I love it when foods do crossovers like this. I’m a sucker for any kinda gimmick, but especially crossovers. I don’t always like them, but I appreciate the marketing ploy and I’m curious like a cat (I was super jeal to read Mayda’s review of Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups, which sound amazing, and I would impulse buy the hell out of them).
So, this treat is exactly what it sounds like. Ritz crackers surrounding Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate. If you like a bit of crunch in your creamy dreamy chocolate, try this. I got what is probably the family pack. It consists of three smaller individually wrapped packages, which are comprised of a block of four squares each. I picked up the pack on special for €2.
It was fun to eat, and it’s something new, I like that. I actually really like the idea of it too. Sweet + Salty. However, this is sort of the equivalent of using pretzels to sandwich chocolate instead of covering them in it Visually, it’s much more straightforward this way, and it looks nice. I think, however, a Cadbury covered Ritz cracker would be more intoxicating.
Did I eat it all? Yes
Would I eat it again? I wouldn’t turn it down.
Would I buy it again? No, but I do think they’re worth trying. There’s just a lot more junk food out there for me to try, and I can’t go around eating everything I’ve already tried indiscriminately, I’d never get any work done. When they reverse this (chocolate covered Ritz), I’m in.
