Now, I have to admit that I am one who gives in to Taco Bell gimmicks and crazes. Plus, it is cheap and closer to me than Chipotle. Unfortunately, I don’t live by any late night restaurants or even fast foods. If I need something past 8pm, I am pretty shit out of luck unless I want to hop on a bus or drive.
On my way home from a late shift at work, I really wanted a burrito-y type deal. Oh what the hell, let’s go to the TB to see what I can find. Looking at everything on the menu, I decided that the Chicken Cantina Burrito looked decent. Plus, Lorena Garcia, the chef who created this menu item, convinced me with her “Latin heat” or whatever.
This burrito was actually pretty big and had some weight on it. Cool!
There was chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, corn, and some other sauce. Guess what… It was pretty good! The guacamole sauce really gave the whole thing a flavorful taste. The elements were pretty evenly placed except for the dispersement. I was a little disappointed because the ingredients were sectioned off a little; I didn’t get into the sauce until half way through the burrito and all the rice was on one side. A downside for me was that the lettuce was not shredded. However, for the price, the burrito was a good buy for me. I would definitely recommend it to you, if we were grabbing some Bell.
All in all I think it was a great deal. Now, I have something I can get at TB that doesn’t make me sick or embarrassed. Plus, the burrito was cheaper than Chipotle and almost as good!! I think people should try this thing because they might give Taco Bell at least one more life point.
This was a decent win for Taco Bell.
The round up:
Would I buy it again? Yes
Would I finish it? Yes, and I feel satisfied!
