I have never been into TV dinners UNLESS I am lazy and it is late. Well, I checked those 2 boxes yesterday and I am finding that I do that more and more each day. Unfortunately? We will see…
I love chicken, like actually feel a blood/spiritual connection to the stuff. I prefer it on the bone, fried or so fall-off-the-bone you have to put on grips. Believe it or not, my favorite part of the chicken is the popes nose/tail, the wingette, the back bone, then the thigh all SKIN ON!
Back to laziness and late at night, I crack open a Marie Callender’s baked chicken with sides. Can we say Mayda’s total comfort type foods? Ah yes.
The corn: It is hard to go wrong with corn. A little bland, but still a bit sweet. I would prefer more seasoning and sweetness (kinda like Boston Market’s). All in all not too bad. I liked it alright.
The mashed potatoes: Definitely powder and unseasoned, watery, bland, gross, unevenly cooked and mixed. Not a win. Not even close.
ONTO THE CHIQUINS. Marie gave me a thigh and a leg. Honestly, they were pretty well seasoned. I could taste the rosemary and salt with a little pepper. Pretty decent I must say. I happily finished them.
The round up:
Would I buy this again: Yes, if the lazy and late at night and chicken crave boxes were checked.
Can I finish it: Yeah except I might lay off the potatoes, not feelin’ them.
Overall rate: 5 only because the chicken would be the puller here.
