Am I a Monster?
For some reason this winter, I have been all about granola, candy bars, and dooshy drinks. I have never been into energy drinks until now. Someone tell me why this is because I have not even thought about trying these types of beverages until now. How does a tiny short asian girl start craving college-brah-white-hat wearing-frosted tips-pizza roll burrito chomping-dude-type stuff? WEIRD! On top of that, all I want is some old man Hershey candy bars and granola all the time. Who am I? Who have I become? Where is this taking me?
Well, I don’t know, but I am going to review the Monster drink I seem to not be able to get enough of. This is supposed to give me some sort of energy boost as well as nutrients, right? Well for some odd reason, my tiny teeny body does not react to caffeine drinks (except iced coffee or toddy). I can drink Mountain Dew at 2am and still zonk out like a widdle lamb in the clouds.
Anyway, let’s start with the can. It is tallish light blue. The logo and info are printed thickly with texture. I can’t lie, it is fun to hold. The taste is hard to explain but it is juicy with a little bit of citrus and some sort of berry tea. I dig it very much. Sometimes, these drinks can have a zing with carbonation. On the contrary, this drink is lightly carbonated which makes the swallow pleasant. It is not hard to chug this drink.
You know when you eat chocolate and then drink a soda or a fruity drink, and the taste is off? Well, with the Ultra Blue Monster, the flavor is so bold that it actually washes out the chocolate and you get the full flavor of the Ultra Blue. I LOVE THIS because then I can enjoy the 2 simultaneously. I can’t do this with say root beer or sprite.
The round up:
