Ok, it is not a secret. I don’t have much of a refined pallet but I do consider myself somewhat of a super taster. I feel that I have weird taste buds with peculiarities. The older I get the more open I am to different tastes. I am also willing to lower my standards for types of meals. Here I go with the Lean Cuisine Lasagne. I used to not like baked pastas. Ricotta makes me gag. Thinking about it makes me sick, so you can imagine how it makes me feel with even the touch of it to my little tongue. BUT for this blog, for this empty wallet, for this life, for this curious mind, I taste for you, the Lean Cuisine 5-Cheese Lasagne.
There is waaay too much sauce, way too much bland sauce. However, there are different cheeses. I am not sure if there are five exactly, but the ricotta be there! That ain’t a question! Guess what I did not gag, because I mixed it REALLY well with the other cheeses to try to mask it. It kind of worked. I wish there was more mozzarella. Actually, the taste was not that bad. There were even little bits of onion. The noodles were way too soft, but that does not bother me. This meal would probably offend a true Italian, but being broke and a fake self-proclaimed “Kore-talian” I could handle it.
With that said, go to Cossettas, go to Buca, go to D’Amico, hell go to Olive Garden!
The round up:
