I am not rich. I am not a foodie. I am not classy. I am not exotic. I am not picky. I am American. I grew up semi poor in Minnesota. I am Kimtalian. I am me. I am sparkly. I like Olive Garden sometimes. Who doesn’t like endless breadsticks and salad? Who doesn’t know the white and green doodle plates? Come on? Let’s pretend we are going to prom and get fancy! Tha OG!!!
There are some things I really enjoy at the Olive Garden. I like the minestrone, the salad of course, the breadsticks, the eggplant parm… I am not afraid to say it.
I went there for lunch the other day and decided to check out some other things. I don’t usually order appetizers there because I fill up on breadsticks and salad, but this time I didn’t have to pay. Let’s indulge and explore!
I got the toasted ravioli with pork and beef along with the mushrooms stuffed with clams, parm, bread crumbs, and mozzarella.
The ravioli was ok. I didn’t really like the toasted part. It added saltiness and made the noodles hard not in a good way. However the meat had an okay taste that reminded my of pork wontons which was not too bad. I would not order this again.
The mushroom caps were really tasty actually. I love mushrooms! With the stuffings, it made for a nice subtle italian bite although I could not really taste the clams due to the strong parm.
The round up:
Did I finish the apps? Yes. Yes. I did.
Would I recommend? The mushrooms yes. The ravioli no.
Rating: Mushroom – 8, Ravioli – 5
