Right off the jump, I don’t think these are going to be good. To be honest, I don’t ever trust healthy/protein/fitness “treats”/bars to be tasty especially when they try to imitate the real deal junk. These Quest Bars seem to try to be something like Reese’s PB Cups. Nu-uh. I don’t think so BRUH. I don’t think so BAE. I don’t think so CHAD! Put your shirt back on Sally! These things might give you at the least some sweetened protein, but not that umami choco-peanutty goodness from an OG Reese’s. Despite my doubts, maybe these are actually good? I will give it a try anyway.
At first glance, it looks gross. The smell is dark chocolate for sure. It is hard to take the “cups” out because they are very thin in the plastic holders. Then they crumble as I try to push them out. (Not cool) The taste is really bitter and crumbly – not a good look Quest. The peanut butter part is lame and small. It is kind of brittle-y/woody and concrete like. Ick. With all that at least there is the reminensce of a fake Reese’s. I can tell they are trying, but the “BRUH”s at Quest probably have deprived themselves from the real deal for so long that they can’t tell this thing tastes like bark. Oh well, at least you get your 20grams of protein and 25grams of carbs to fulfill your sweet tooth and macros. (hahaha Paleo-cats)
The round up:
Did I finish it? NO
Would I buy it again? NO
Recommend it? Only to body builders (Maybe)
