I don’t know why I got this but I did. I am pretty much turned off by products by Kashi, Evol, anything fake or gluten free, and… AMY’s! I had an OK experience with her “dot-Indian” (no racial!) dish, but I doubt it was anything close to the authentic stuff. I would prefer to go to a restaurant or a home-cooked deal. But when you are at Target with $5 and hangry for some “ethnic” junk then well then well… I am gonna put on my middle aged dumbo face and shut it!
Bring it Amy. I microwaved it for 5 minutes and let it cool a bit. I mixed it up. The noodles looked ok. There were maybe 10 small squares of tofu (which I am not a fan of even though I am asian). There were pretty good looking broccolis and carrots which were pretty al dente. The onions/scallions were pretty scant. The flavor didn’t really come through at all. The chopped cashews were pathetically soft and unflavorful.
The flavor of the pad thai was like ketchup with maybe a little bit of peanut butter. The vinegar taste was really apparent. I did NOT like it! Pad Thai usually has more of a peanut taste with lime and cilantro. NO CILANTRO nor LIME!!! Amy you forgot somethings!
Overall I didn’t like it.
The round up:
Did I finish it? Yes because I can’t waste it and I paid for it.
Would I buy it again? NO
Would I recommend it? NO
Notes: just go to a restaurant for pad thai. (On’s Thai on University or Sawadtee seriously!)
