Hello! Hello! Hello!
I know it has been a long time. I am backed up with so many reviews, but I am finally getting my lazy ass back in review spirit especially because it is hell-i-day wait, I mean HOLIDAY season. Ho Ho Heaux!
(Jump Cut to the pizza)
Personally, I am a NY style or Neopolitan style pizza. Let’s be real though, I am slutty when it comes to pizza. I have had pizzas close to Detroit-style (I think). I LOVED and MISS very much, Rocky Rococco and Godfather’s. I kinda like Little Caesars. OH MAN, I miss the Big Foot “pizza pizza”. I also like crusts especially if it is soft and buttery, so I was excited to try this pizza.
ALTHOUGH!!! There is just one thing I was worried about…
I am not too keen on BBQ pizzas. I LOVE BBQ, but not on a pizza. I like pulled pork on its own, in a sandwich, in a taco or a burrito.
Don’t shoot me, but I don’t like bacon that much.
However, let’s try this.
Now the coolest thing about this pizza is the crust. It has a crispy carmelized crust with those awesome burnt edges. That is probably the best thing about Detroit style in general.
The thing that was sad for me was the amount of crust against the sauce and the meat. There was not that much cheese and the pulled pork was kind of over powered by the bacon. The sauce was good.
To me, the Crust around the pizza was great, the amount of bread was just too much for me. OR it could have been that there was not enough sauce and cheese to support the toppings.
It was a good buy. I don’t regret it. It was good and filling.
Would I recommend? Yes, if you like bbq meaty pizzas
Would I buy again? No
Be ready for MORE MORE MORE REVIEWS from me
